Descobrir a Arte Islâmica

Informação recebida dos Museus sem Fronteiras:

There has been an update of the Virtual Museum on Islamic Art and it is a pleasure to herewith introduce you to the new features:

Permanent Collection:

In addition to the visit “by country” it is now possible to sort the items – objects and monuments – also “by dynasty”.

My Museum

This feature enables registered visitors to create their own collection by gathering their favourite items from the Museum's collection in My Museum so that it displays only those objects and monuments that interest them. My Museum is available in the four navigation languages of the website: Arabic, English, French and Spanish. This feature will be available also in the project Discover Baroque Art, which is underway.

Looks like a colourful plate, but this is actually the ceiling underneath one of the domes of the mosque in Wah, Pakistan (a short distance to the west of the capital Islamabad).
